Mugwaz - Do It Yourself Fashion Crafts

How do you do it?
Well, there are some basic things you should do but you don't have to listen to me. Here's your chance to really express yourself. Flaunt your creativity and your originality by making something truly unique.

Like all great artists, you must first prep your workspace. You can throw down a towel or old sheet or use the mat provided to cover a flat surface, like a table or the floor. Do you have to use the mat?
No, but it could get pretty messy and the mat makes for easy clean up.

Next check out your supplies: You've got 4 totally cool colors of glitter that are perfectly coordinated with your shooz. You also have some gloo, popsicle sticks for spreading the gloo, and some stencils to get you started on some pretty cool shapes, if I do say so myself! I also find it helpful to have a few cups and spoons on hand for mixing up the glitter.

Now that you know what you’ve got, the only thing to do is to get glitterizin'! There are lots of ways to do this. You just need to find the technique you like best. Here are some of my faves:

The Roll
This one’s fun and easy too. Dump the glitter out onto a flat surface, coat the sides of your sole with glue and roll it around in the glitter. It gives a really cool effect that can be seen from every angle. Now decorate the top if you wish or leave it as is.

Sir-Mix-a Lot
It's all about color, girls. Use lots. Mix them all together for new color Combos. Sprinkle or pour it on.

Other stuff to know:
The gloo will take about an hour to dry thoroughly. You could use a hairdryer to speed it along, but some things are better left to their own devices—this is one of them.

Used too much gloo? No worries. It may look gooey and white, but it dries completely clear.

Want to make sure your masterpiece lasts and lasts (or at least through the season)? While the gloo is pretty strong, you can help it along with hairspray. Yep, hairspray. While not great for the environment, aerosol hairspray is good for your Mugwaz. It will protect them and keep them
dazzling all summer long.
